I’ve traveled several times but this is the first time I was able to see the country through the eyes of the locals and feel what struggles they’re going through on a daily basis. Through volunteering, I’ve immersed in the local culture and bonded with people there which made Zanzibar felt like home. This whole experience showed me exactly what I was meant to be doing in this world.
